The Tribal Development Fund (TDF) Project is a flagship initiative implemented with the support of NABARD, Government of India, aiming to uplift the socio-economic standards of 500 tribal families.
The project is being carried out across nine tribal-dominated villages under Parshla Gram Panchayat in the Simlapal Block of Bankura District.

Support: Financial and technical assistance by NABARD
Primary Activity: Development of 500 acres of fruit orchards (one acre per family) within the first two years
Fruit Orchard Development: Each family has developed a one-acre fruit orchard, ensuring sustainable livelihood options.
Kitchen Gardens: Every participating family is encouraged and supported to maintain a kitchen garden, promoting nutrition security.
Women’s Empowerment: Focused programs are undertaken to enhance the income generation capacity of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) led by women.
Sustainable Agriculture: Farmers are trained and sensitized on improved and sustainable agricultural practices to boost productivity and conserve natural resources.
Intercropping Initiatives: Intercropping in fruit orchards is actively promoted to diversify income sources and improve land utilization.
